This week saw the start of the demo process for our new album. We bagged a space at Mayfair Studios in Churt and recorded drum tracks for two songs we hope will make it to the final cut; Halfway and The Hold.

Most of the tracks have been written already but we’re still in the process of putting a few more new ones together. Still, no point sitting on decent tunes so the two processes (writing and recording) will have to go hand in hand for the time being.

Although these particular recordings will never see the light of day they will form the basis of what is to come. It’s never a particularly easy process, especially when we try so hard to capture as much of the live sound as possible. However, I think at least one member captured the energy and vulgarity at least of our live show…. I’m sure Simon and I had some input… I’m sure we did!

Enjoy!

It’s been a quiet start to the year as far as announcements and in fact any contact with the outside world goes. But that is about to change!

We’ve been silently working on our next album, the follow up to 2010’s In Revelation, still available on Itunes, Amazon etc and from our store on this ‘ere website!

Lounge Bar Awards 2011Highlights of the evening include Catherine from the Lounge Bar renaming the ‘The Lounge Bar Best Rock/Metal Band’ Award – as the ‘Alternative Carpark best Rock/Metal Band’ award because we have won so often – and then helpfully telling EnTro-P, this years very worthy winners, that makes them nearly as good as Alternative Carpark. We feel the hiccups induced by a severe overload of mulled wine may have made her giddy…

Anyhoo, you can see Stoo ACP’s review of the night in the form of a pastiche of the poem ‘A Night Before Christmas’ on www.easthampshire.org, which we think may pretty much guarantee us never winning the award ever again….

We all know that to get presents from Santa you need to be on the Nice list – but what happens to boys and girls on the Naughty list? Prepare to be shocked and horrified when ACP reveal the bloody truth….

Cellar Bar BracknellLast date of our mini-tour is the Cellar Bar in Bracknell tonight. It may be our last gig til March… so make sure you’re there!

We’re playing with:

Silas – http://www.facebook.com/silasbanduk

and

Kinky Boot Beasts – http://www.facebook.com/kinkybootbeasts

Doors – 8pm.

Right bitches (and let us not mince words for we all know how terribly bitch-orientated our demographic is) sorry and all that but we are in Lewisham tonight so buck up and get down to the Fox & Firkin. It’s for charity so not coming actually equates to killing baby rhinos.

It’s a sexy Movember gig (ACP/Silas/Sons of Merrick/Junk Time Party) so buckle on your angry-looking strap-ons and come down and rape, rape against the dying of the night. See brotherfuckers, we’re all learned and shit too. BOOOOOOOOOM!

As a reward for your awesomeness brothersandsisters we give you Carpark and chums this week…….

THURS: Petersfield Fusion Bar – Silas/Sons Of Merrick/ACP
FRI: Lewisham Fox & Firkin – ACP/Silas/Sons of Merrick/Junk Time Party
SUN: Bracknell Cellar Bar – Kinky Boot Beasts/Silas/ACP

Look forward to seeing your beaming mugs, dugs and grubs!

The Carpark like little more of a Sunday morn than to pile into our communal bath, work up a fluffy lather and give one another a good hammering with the crusty loofah and, as we scrub and bubble, we sing tunelessly along to this happy song. Merry Sunday brother fuckers:
